In July 2025, Warwick Enterprise, in partnership with Warwick Business School, hosted the Venture Showcase at WBS London, The Shard, a day of founder insights, live pitches and new connections across the UK start-up ecosystem.

Hosted by Alexander McLeod, lead of the Warwick Enterprise Start-up Programme, the day featured an inspiring founder panel, a national pitch competition, and dedicated networking over lunch.

The event brought together student and graduate founders from six UK universities: University of Warwick, UCL, Imperial College London, Brunel University London, University of Greenwich, and Queen Mary University of London. Alongside investors, industry leaders, and enterprise practitioners, all united in celebrating innovation and building meaningful pathways into the start-up ecosystem.

McLeod announced that the Warwick Enterprise Start-up Programme will now also run from The Shard, with three intakes per year for Warwick students and graduates.

The fact that we will now be running the programme from the 17th floor of London’s most iconic building will mean that people will want to be part of it, London is at the beating heart of the investment ecosystem.

The Shard has become a dynamic hub for Executive Education, MBA programmes, and entrepreneurial thinking. It’s where Warwick Business School brings its ethos to life, applied learning, powerful connections, and a global network of Change Makers who are proactively shaping the future.

This isn’t just a showcase. It’s a movement.

Warwick Enterprise is creating national moments of connection, uniting founders, investors, and changemakers from across the UK.
