Meet other entrepreneurs who can support your growth

We were thrilled to host Alice Hargreaves and Daniel O’Driscoll at the Warwick Innovation District to conduct a Lego Serious Play Workshop as part of our My Innovation Collective Live Series. Alice and Dan met through the NatWest Accelerator and became firm friends.

As time progressed they started to play around with the idea of working together, combining Dan’s experience in Lego, and Alice’s experience in Access and Inclusion. The two piloted a session at the SIC Summer Conference in summer 2023 held at the Warwick Innovation District, and then ran their first few workshops with clients in the following year.

I’m Dan, I’m a Dan of twins. I love Lego, and Alice and I collaborate specifically on this particular type of event, using Lego to represent your thoughts and feelings – Lego Serious Play.

It’s a methodology, isn’t it? It’s a way to unlock creativity, used more for leadership or team development.

And we kind of flipped that on its head and started using it to think about accessibility, inclusive work cultures. You know, what I’m hearing again: options, flexibility, being mindful of others.

A person is disabled by society, like up and down – up and down.

I love that. Perfect.

You can use captions and image descriptions on your social media posts. As disabled customers, we’re worth 274 billion pounds each and every year to UK businesses.

So, working together on leadership development, facilitation, and raising awareness of disability and neurodiversity.

Alice said “Having the opportunity to run a taster session of a more refined product back where it all began was fab! The participants were really engaged and as always it was great fun working together!”

She adds “The business case for employing disabled people is huge, as a customer base we’re worth £274 billion a year to UK businesses so it was great to see how engaged participants were during our session.”
