A unique opportunity for innovators and key stakeholders within Coventry and Warwickshire mental health settings including medium to low secure facilities and community settings, with the potential for tangible and impactful outcomes for the staff.
West Midlands Health and Wellbeing Innovation Network are running a challenge led innovation programme with Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) which aims to improve staff experiences within medium to low secure mental healthcare settings.
The challenges facing staff will be representative of the issues facing staff in other mental health settings within England. Therefore, this is a fantastic opportunity for innovators to solve this challenge with potential to scale to market.
The challenge area this programme will focus on are:
- How might we improve staff satisfaction and retention by using digital tools to optimise work processes.
The programme is ideally looking for innovators with solutions in the following areas:
Dashboarding and Data Visualisation
- Intelligent Document Management and Processing
- Activity management and personal progress tracking
- Process Optimisation / Automation
- Robotic Process Automation
- We are currently not looking for solutions in:
- Electronic Patient Record Systems
This is a unique opportunity for value exchange between innovators and key clinical and management stakeholders within Coventry and Warwickshire mental health settings including medium to low secure facilities and community settings, with the potential for tangible and impactful outcomes for patients and staff. This programme is also underpinned by Warwick University’s academic excellence, innovation methodology and rich network of collaborators and partners.
Successful applicants may also be eligible for up to £20,000 grant funding through the WMHTIA, a collaborative network of expertise across industry, NHS and universities that will help pioneering businesses navigate the key stages of medical translation, funded through Innovate UK.

We run challenge based innovation programmes that focus on uncovering high priority challenges and opportunities with health and social care partners, finding innovative suppliers who can solve these challenges or maximise opportunities and guiding them through a collaborative innovation programme culminating in the development of prototype solutions.
