Beyond Ventures Launches at The Shard.
On 14th April 2026, industry leaders, investors, and innovators gathered at The Shard in London for the inaugural Beyond Ventures event – an ambitious new initiative designed to redefine how investors engage with the University of Warwick’s thriving innovation ecosystem.
The exclusive showcase marked the beginning of a more integrated approach to collaboration, moving beyond individual deals to foster long-term partnerships between venture capital, industry stakeholders, and one of the UK’s leading Russell Group universities.
Hosted by Warwick Innovations, the universities Tech Transfer Office, and against the iconic London skyline, the event brought together a dynamic mix of venture capitalists, founders, policymakers, and academic leaders, all united by a shared goal: to shape the future of the UK’s innovation and investment landscape.
Tim Hart, Director of Warwick Innovations said: “Not only did we have the opportunity to showcase how research excellence at Warwick can deliver world class deep technology spinouts, but we catalysed new conversations and thinking about how we can work more collaboratively and creatively with sources of capital for our spinouts, both from the UK and overseas. There are challenges and opportunities ahead, but we are excited to continue contributing not just in terms of socio-economic impact from Warwick spinouts, but to the growth, ambition, and resiliency of the UK’s innovation economy.”
