Wendy Coy is the Director of Operations for the Innovation Group. Her role includes the implementation of the Warwick Innovation Strategy. Seeking to inspire, educate and innovate within an ecosystem of innovation, enterprise and economic development across the region.
The strategy is in year two and delivery is moving on at pace – with new places, people, programmes and programmes. Wendy works across the University with academics, staff and students, and externally with partners, creators, corporates and incubation and acceleration providers to develop and deliver programmes and events.
Engaging with a wide audience in digital and physical activities, the building of space, digital platforms, audiences, programmes and people is key at this stage in supporting the growth of numerous and varied businesses.
Leading on the development and implementation of two specialist accelerator programmes in Health and Wellbeing, and Clean Transport – the growth of the eco system that supports the regional and local economic and health economic development is a key part of her current focus.
With a 18-year career across a range of senior roles at Warwick, preceded by consultancy, private and public sector roles in HR, Wendy is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and holds a Masters in Business Administration. With a keen interest in education and health Wendy has chaired a Further Education College Board, and has been a non exec on a large NHS trust.
