About The Job
Fixed term contract until 31 July 2024. 36.5 hours per week.
The newly formed Warwick Innovation District brings together academics, businesses, founders and investors to start, scale and pivot businesses, while helping students gain the opportunity to experiment with creative and critical thinking. We are passionate about seeing our region prosper and have created a series of programmes and initiatives designed to nurture start ups in the Midlands address the biggest global challenges.
In order to meet our KPIs of inspiring, educating and incubating innovation businesses and their owners, we need to increase our reach with a variety of stakeholders. As part of our growing team, you will make a significant contribution to increasing our database of contacts, creating new opportunities for collaboration and promotion. Specifically you will develop and deliver a plan to increase the reach and take up of activity on our newly created myinnovationcollective.online skills exchange platform.
Your experience of community growth and network building will inspire the design of campaigns, events and activities to encourage membership, which will reach beyond the online platform. Identifying and attending suitable industry and networking events, you will be a key part of shaping our outreach opportunities, growing our presence at sector and innovation focused events to increase the awareness of our work. Feeding back on industry developments that can help to expand and refine our offer, your network of contacts will help to engage support, sponsorship and paid-for promotional activity as well as developing a portfolio of speakers and industry professionals. As an ambassador of Warwick Innovation District, you will help us to identify opportunities to submit award entries and will help us to grow the profile of this exciting area of the University.
You will need plenty of experience in data analysis and reporting as you will need to provide regular update reports that directly feed into our HEIF, HE-BCI and KEF returns. You will ideally have worked in an area where you have engaged in platform development, identifying pathways and project outcomes for improved user experience. Your excellent communication skills will be showcased in your ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including in written reports, awards submissions and funding bids. Ideally you will have worked in or have a good working knowledge of the HE sector, understand the SME landscape and will have a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.
